Company History
 Located in the
beautiful Oley Valley, close to Reading, Allentown and only 45 min. from
Philadelphia. Wegout is owned by a local family, not a far-away
corporation, you'll find much more personal service than you've come to expect
from other Internet providers.
Wegout's mission is to provide
reliable easy to use dial-up internet access that is affordable. We also believe in providing
friendly customer service with professional technical support. We also plan on
growing in the area so we can employ local talent and help the local economy
grow.
Wegout uses the most reliable POP's to provide unlimited internet access
nation wide.
Our relationships with leading industry backbone providers
ensure the best technology the industry can offer our customers for dependable
internet access.
Because of this Wegout is able to serve Berks County and the nation with
over
7,000 pops using 22 networks covering 98% of the US population. Because we do
all the programming ourselves we are able to keep the price down and stay
competitive in the industry. We are Internet Specialists!
Our name Wegout is a combination of two words
“weg” and “out”. The word “Weg” is Pennsylvania Dutch or Deutsch for the English
word “Way”. The combination of the word “weg” and English word “way” combine to
make the word Wegout. The way to pronounce “weg” is how it is pronounced in the
word “wegman”. Wegout is your way out to the Internet no matter what language
you speak.
Wegout is incorporated as an LLC. Started in 2000 by Cliff
Marlowe as a Yahoo style site which
today has grown into a local Internet Service Provider offering affordable
dial-up. Mr. Marlowe is a member of the International Webmasters Association,
Microsoft Certified Professional and is a Registered Web Site
Developer for Microsoft®. His
experience for a local Business ISP providing T1, dial-up access and consulting
services to local small businesses and the pharmaceutical industry gave him the
knowledge to establish a local internet access business for Pennsylvania and
beyond.
We take great pleasure in the Awards we have
attained from our peers in the industry and strive to bring you the best
service. We also have spent untold hours
harvesting the best sites to create categories of easy to find information for
all our customers along with incorporating Google search into all our sites.
